My idea

What i want to do for this ass't is to have a very unusual experience of a built environment. I have created a 'gallery', a gallery of large uncommon objects and the camera will be the 'human', walking and experiencing these spaces... I used the word DYNAMIC to direct my video because, in first year Architecture, we had to design a gallery and they asked us to make it dynamic... I was wondering what their real intention was for using that specific word ...it's opposite to static/still/fixed, so it's architecture that suggests and encourages movement through a space... so my built architecture encourages movement with tunnels, opening doors, closed doors also, waterfalls, corridors, footpaths and more...

Words

DYNAMIC

Happiness
Fear
Excitement
Atmosphere
Exploration
Environment
Discovery
Unknown
Overcome
Thrill

Reflection

Fence... Boundaries...Walls...Floors... Tunnels... they all stop entry and create enclosure...
Trying to cross these barriers is the adventure! It's what creates the fear of taking the risk and therefore the thrill... Entering spaces without having any knowledge of what to expect is that thrill... It's the exploration of the spaces and learning new things

This can be evolved into the idea of discovery and adventure... Experiencing different environments and overcoming the fear of exploring the unknown...
These can be taken as physical experiences for example different areas of the world; different countries, different environments, different atmospheres...
Or it can be taken as emotional experiences such as happiness, fear, sadness, excitement, surprise... all unlike feelings, emotions and therefore different experiences... all unknown and scary territories the first time they are experienced...

The physical environment can alter these emotional experiences... for example the light in a room can make people feel happier and excited... the darkness in a room can create fear and sadness etc.... and the boundaries between these spaces are important as the boundaries 'define' the spaces...

It's all in the experience!

Architectural Position

Architecture is the design of a system or structure. It is a combination of space and building elements.

Architecture can be thought of as a creation of elements surrounding a space; an enclosure.

“As people move through a space, architecture is experienced as a time sequence.” (Wikipedia) This is a dynamic experience, moving from space to space and being surrounded by walls, columns windows...

A space is only a space by the definition of its boundaries. These boundaries divide and separate activity, people, objects etc.

Architecture determines what we call inside and outside; a division between the environments.

The Great Wall of China is an architecture that protected the northern borders of the Chinese Empire from another dynasty. This structure divided and created a boundary between these people and areas.
A jail can be thought of as separating the society from prisoners or... the prisoners from society.

"Fence"

Fence is
boundary,
border,
frontier, a dividing line
restriction,
protection,
prevention, a confine within limits
separation,
enclosure,
dead end, to encompass and surround!

A form of fortication to enclose and mark their territory...the sense of boundary going to an extreme level is seen through the Great Wall of China and the Berlin Wall... these walls also represent "the status and independence of the communities they embraced."
